CarpetCleaning.net.au helps match carpet cleaning services with potential residential and commercial customers. We don’t clean your carpets, but we’ll introduce you to the team that can.

You do have to identify yourself and provide valid contact details, to post comments or obtain an introduction to a cleaning contractor. You agree to us using your contact details to send you messages promoting our Service and related goods or services.

Our server may log details about any computer used to access this site (such as the IP address, domain name and browser type), the date and time of access, and details of the information downloaded. This information is used for our own statistical purposes and to improve this site.

Any other information we obtain is treated in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Using our services

Our site explains how to use our service. We do not provide carpet cleaning services. We shall attempt to introduce you to an independent cleaning contractor that is suitable for your requirements as notified to us.

Contractors are independent business operators and are not our servants or agents. If you decide to engage a contractor, you must enter a separate agreement with them, and we are not a party to that agreement.

We may receive a fee or reward from contractors for making introductions to them.

Our liability to you

Important consumer information: Full details of the consumer rights and remedies referred to in clauses 1 and 2 can be obtained from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (‘ACCC’) at www.accc.gov.au or from a local consumer protection agency.

1. Rights and remedies for PDH goods and services
   
   If we supply you with goods or services of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household (‘PDH’) use or consumption you have extensive rights under the Australian Consumer Law (‘ACL’) including consumer guarantees and remedies.
   
   Nothing in these terms limits those rights and remedies in any way.
2. Rights and remedies for non-PDH goods costing no more than $40,000
   
   If we supply you with goods or services not of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use or consumption but costing no more than $40,000 you have extensive rights under the ACL including consumer guarantees and remedies but:
   
   
   • in relation to these goods, our liability for failure to comply with a consumer guarantee (other than certain guarantees about ownership and undisturbed use) is limited to:
     
     
     • replacing the goods or supplying equivalent ones;
     • repairing the goods;
     • paying the cost of replacing the goods or of acquiring equivalent ones; or
     • paying the cost of having the goods repaired; and
   • in relation to these services, our liability for failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited to:
     
     
     • supplying the services again; or
     • paying the cost of having the services supplied again.
3. Exclusion of implied terms and limitation of liability
   
   Subject to clauses 1 and 2:
   
   
   • Any representation, warranty, condition, guarantee or undertaking that would be implied in these terms by legislation, common law, equity, trade, custom or usage or otherwise is excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.
   • We do not warrant or represent the performance, accuracy, reliability or continued availability of Our Service or that it will operate free from faults, errors or interruptions.
   • We are not liable for anything that a contractor does, or fails to do.
   • We are never liable to you for, and you release us from any claim in respect of, any loss or damage you may suffer as a result of or in connection with Our Service or services provided to you by a contractor.
